Effective immediately, as of 9:51 AM on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, all required microbiological testing of water samples from the area affected by the boil water advisory issued for Demere Road on St Simons Island on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 have passed. Results have been verified by our state-licensed technician within a certified laboratory environment.
This notification is an ALL-CLEAR and water used for drinking will no longer need to be boiled.

Sidewalk Closure Notification
In order to perform sewer service repairs in the area, the sidewalk on the west side of the 3800 block of Altama Ave will be closed to pedestrian traffic. The sidewalk closure will begin at or about 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 25 and last until no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021. Roadway traffic will not be affected as the work will be performed outside the roadway, but drivers are encouraged to drive with care.
