Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting – Urbana Sanitary Sewer Improvements

The BGJWSC is accepting bids for improvements to the sanitary sewer system in Brunswick, GA. Atlantic Dr, Glynn Haven, SSI – Sewer System Upgrade Progress

The BGJWSC is presently performing a sewer upgrade in the Glynn Haven area of St. Simons Island. The work is being completed under contract with a construction company and inspections are being regularly performed by BGJWSC staff. Lift Station 2030 Upgrade, Force Main Improvements and Water Main Extension Contract Awarded

Monday, April 20th, the JWSC entered into a contract with Popco Inc. out of Albany Georgia for improvements to Sanitary Sewer Basin 2030 and a needed Water Main Extension.   The contract was in the amount of $3,022,528.22 and the Notice To Proceed will be issued within the next 20 days.  Actual construction will begin as soon as the construction submittals are reviewed and approved and materials are made available, and could be as early as 45 days.  The 1st Phase of the contract will be for...

Regarding a New Well on St. Simons Island

Residents in the Village Creek subdivision of St. Simons Island may have recently noticed a rumbling sound emanating from the Water Production Facility operated by the BGJWSC. Emergency Road Closure on Altama Avenue

Due to contractor damage to the water main on Altama Avenue from Second Street to Fourth Street there will be a temporary emergency road closure on Altama Avenue until repairs are complete.  There may be a temporary loss of water pressure to customers in the immediate vicinity as repairs to the water main are made.
