Water Service Outage in Glynn Haven on St. Simons Island – March 18, 2015

Water service is presently unavailable in the Glynn Haven area of St. Simons Island. In the process of digging, a contractor has broken a 6” main in the vicinity of Atlantic Ave, Third Ave, Palm St, Pine, Maple St, Palmetto St, Holly St and surrounding areas of Glynn Haven on St. Simons Island. BGJWSC crews are onsite determining the extent of the damage and working on restoring service.

Customer Service Computer System Scheduled Maintenance – Friday, March 20, 2015

Due to computer system maintenance, the Brunswick-Glynn County Joint Water and Sewer Commission Customer Service office will be running on a very limited capacity on Friday, March 20, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As a result, we will have no access to your records during this time period. Please make arrangements to communicate to us before or after this date. All emergency service will still be available on Friday, March 20, 2015. We thank you for your patience.

Road Closure – 1700 Block of Bruce Dr, St. Simons Island – March 27, 2015

Attention Road Closure Notification In order to perform sewer main repairs in the area, the 1700 block of Bruce Dr, East Beach on St. Simons Island, between Third St and Fourth St, will be closed to thru traffic from 7:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Homeowner access will be maintained but all other traffic should be prepared to take another route. The BGJWSC apologizes in advance for the inconvenience.

Emergency Road Closure on Altama Avenue

Due to contractor damage to the water main on Altama Avenue from Second Street to Fourth Street there will be a temporary emergency road closure on Altama Avenue until repairs are complete. There may be a temporary loss of water pressure to customers in the immediate vicinity as repairs to the water main are made.
