Chairman Elliott called the meeting to order. Commissioner Perry provided the invocation, and Chairman Elliott led the pledge.

No citizen wished to address the Commission when Chairman Elliott asked whether anyone present wished to do so.

Chairman Cason made a motion seconded by Commissioner Boland to close the special called meeting and adjourn to executive session to discuss pending litigation. Motion carried 7-0-0.

Back in open session. Discussion only; no action taken.

Commissioner Perry made a motion seconded by Commissioner Cason to add the FLETC SSO to today’s Special Called Open Meeting Agenda as an emergency item. Motion carried 7-0-0.

FLETC SSO

Mr. Swan discussed the recent line cut at FLETC stating a line was cut while someone was trenching a ditch. Approximately 115k-120k gallons were involved in the spill; most of it has been cleaned up as of today. No one has claimed responsibility for cutting the line. Mr. Swan has been in touch with Mr. Hawthorne at the EPD who said that a violation would be written, but that there would be no fines. Ms. Bradford has been called and a meeting has been set up for next week. Mr. Swan stated that JWSC and FLETC are currently in negotiations. Mr. Swan stated that the clean-up and monitoring is being done and paid for by JWSC.

There being no additional business to bring before the Commission, Chairman Elliot adjourned the meeting.
