As of 2:00 PM, Frederica Road on St. Simons Island, adjacent to Longview Plaza, is down to one lane with traffic control. In response to a water leak in the area, BGJWSC crews are onsite repairing a broken valve that is located in the street. Service may be intermittent. Water Service Outage in Glynn Haven on St. Simons Island – March 19, 2015

Water service will be unavailable in the Glynn Haven area of St. Simons Island from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. today, March 19, 2015, for the repair of a 6″ main by BGJWSC staff. This will affect customers in the vicinity of Atlantic Ave, Third Ave, Palm St, Pine, Maple St, Palmetto St, Holly St and surrounding areas of Glynn Haven. The BGJWSC apologizes in advance for the inconvenience. Update 3/19/15 11:09 – Service has now been restored.
