In order for an independent utility contractor to isolate a service line leak on a private water system, BGJWSC staff will isolate valves serving Retreat Village on St Simons Island at or about 7:30 am on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Effective immediately, as of 4:37 PM on Friday, December 10, 2021, all required microbiological testing of water samples from the area affected by the boil water advisory issued for Kelvin Grove on SSI on Thursday, December 9, 2021 have passed. DRINKING WATER WARNING BOIL YOUR WATER FOR THREE MINUTES BEFORE USING The St Simons Island water system lost pressure on the distribution network serving Kelvin Grove and adjacent street due to materials failure of a main fitting. Once service has been restored, BGJWSC lab personnel will collect water samples for testing.
