Effective immediately, as of 5:13 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017, all required microbiological testing of water samples from the area affected by the boil water advisory issued for Plantation Point Drive Condos of St. Simons Island on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 has passed. Results have been verified by our state-licensed technician within a certified laboratory environment.
This notification is an ALL-CLEAR and water used for drinking will no longer need to be boiled.

Emergency Road Closure – 5th St from Treville Ave to Emanuel Ave in Brunswick – October 12, 2017
In order to perform sewer main repairs in the area, 5th Street between Treville Avenue and Emanuel Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2017 to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017. Homeowner access will be maintained but all other traffic should be prepared to take another route.

BOIL YOUR WATER FOR THREE MINUTES BEFORE USING
The St. Simons Island water system lost pressure in the area serving the condos at Plantation Point Drive at 2:26 pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 due to an 8″ PVC main broken by a tree which fell during Hurricane Irma. BGJWSC staff is onsite now restoring service. Once service has been restored, BGJWSC lab personnel will collect water samples for testing.
