DRINKING WATER WARNING BOIL YOUR WATER FOR THREE MINUTES BEFORE USING The St. Simons Island water system lost pressure in the area serving Peachtree Street, East Peachtree Street, Everett Street, College Street, and others in direct vicinity at 8:22 pm on Thursday, January 4, 2018 due to a leak caused by broken 6″ ductile iron main. As of noon on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, our area continues to be under a hard freeze warning. Please continue to drip water to reduce the likelihood that your pipes may freeze. Our volume of stored water can keep up with this demand. We also have backup power at well pumping stations.
