Every Drop Counts

Did you know that the average person in Georgia uses 100 gallons of water every day? That combined with recent droughts and growing demand is putting a strain on our water resources. But we can all reduce our water use by as much as 30 percent by taking a few simple steps, such as installing high-efficiency plumbing fixtures that have earned the WaterSense label. Best of all, the Peach State is making it even easier for you to do so! Brunswick-Glynn Co. JWSC has partnered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense program to make it easy for you to find water efficient, high-performing products.

From October 1 - 4, Georgians can purchase WaterSense labeled or ENERGY STAR products without paying sales tax. Whether you buy in store or online (as long as the delivery address is within the state), you can be more water-efficient without paying more than the sticker price!

If just one out of every four households in Georgia would retrofit their bathrooms with WaterSense labeled bathroom fixtures, it could save nearly 10 billion gallons per year; enough for every Georgian to take a shower daily for about two months!
